AU BACKGROUND:
Since the XI game ended, Sakura began going to a local college while taking classes at XI and by 20 she had completed her Pre-Med degree. She worked at a local hospital near XI while attending medical school but she never completed all four years. About two years in, she had found that school had swallowed her whole life. She had long since broken up with Bee and she simply needed to explore more things in life. While medical work is her passion, she found herself drawn to a school being set up in Genosha.
She's been working out a way to complete her schoolwork in a local hospital in Genosha, since she really does want to be a doctor in the end. She even hopes to live in Genosha full time and teach others how to heal or simply think outside the box with their powers.
PERSONALITY:
Sakura is outspoken and tactful. Though they may seem contradictory, she displays an amazing sense for knowing when to argue and when to hold back. However, if she feels she is right, she may argue past the point when common sense would have dictated to stop. She is at times insightful, and also very booksmart. She loves to study and learn new things, though it's mostly things she can use in battle or healing as of late.
She is prone to emotional outbursts. She feels things strongly and unlike her younger years, she expresses them. She tends toward violence to express her anger, but when it counts, she can restrain it. Inside battle, anger-based violence is usually at a minimum. All bets are off though when it comes to her teammates and the anger caused by them or by their enemies. Sadness is kept to herself a fair amount of the time and even rarer is the time when she'll cry. Tears are reserved for the most upsetting or frustrating of subjects and people.
She's a good teacher and she has a sense of protective loyalty towards those she considers 'hers'. Whom she considers 'hers' has spiraled wide enough to include the entire village and foreigners as well. Even complete strangers can inspire her protective behavior and for all she's a paranoid ninja, she finds good things in people easily and wants to protect. Children are of special importance and she'll seek to protect anyone younger than her.
APPEARANCE: Sakura originally had mouse brown hair but has long since kept it pink, even stubbornly during her years at college.
POWERS: Molecule manipulation, mostly through touch, though when she really has to, she can extend her power a foot out of her hands. To do that, she has to be in pretty dire straits. Over time she's realized what her seemingly varied powers have in common and has been working with various applications. She is able to change the appearance/density/metabolic rates/etc of anything she can get her hands on and can concentrate the energy in her hand to give very hard punches. She cannot however, change the external shape of something, merely the way things are put together inside of it, which can make it fall apart in the end.
